okay i first play this because of the drama about shinsengumi called "Kimi to Yukite saku: Shinsengumi Seishunroku" releases and this has the same character from there because its historical. since playing this, my interest still remains on Okita Sōji and him only. Graphics is good and look historical + modern japan. Sound, the VA did really good on their job to voice the chara! Gameplay + Storyline its fun, but its just visual novel so normal reading stuff. Value, if i got the chance to play this game for the first time again, would i do it? definitely yes
In all honesty this was the best game I've ever played in my entire life. Nothing short of a masterpiece, for the following reasons :
- otome game that's very very storybased, romance doesnt feel forced. It comes quite naturally and feels integral to the plot rather than there because it has to be .
- speaking of storyline, I consider the approached themes quite serious which I appreciated. I enjoy how seriously the game takes itself .
- artstyle more on the semi-realism side which I enjoy. No proportions are very exaggerated at all and no colours that are that crazy.
- the VA's did an amazing job in my opinion. Voices all fit characters very well but they especially fit their characters. You can tell which voice belongs to who just by having a description of the speed at which they talk, the vocabulary they use and the pitch. They're all very unique .
- OST was really good too. Although this part is subjective so I cant comment very well on it
- I enjoyed the gameplay a lot, I love visual novels like this where you have tons of options that take you on different routes. You have a lot of freedom in the game and there are many options. I enjoy that there are character specific routes and also more nuanced routes.
- it has a ton of replay value . I could spend hours on it and still not be bored.
All in all , I dont think I'll ever play a game I like more than this. I highly recommend it
