About This Game

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is a MMORPG based on the series “Ni no Kuni”, created by LEVEL-5, Ghibli Studio and Hisaishi Jō. The game is developed by netmarble for Android and iOS platforms.

In this game, there are two worlds, “Reality” and “Fantasy”. Players can travel to another world through the virtual reality game "Soul Dependent". After entering the game, players can choose one of the five professions including swordsman, wizard, technician, rogue and destroyer. Players can also set their own hairstyle, hair color, body shape and other appearances before they start their adventure.

In addition to the main story, there are PVP battles and PVE gameplay. Players can choose to battle with auto mode or manual mode.

There is no beginner gacha in the game. Players need to get gems or gacha tickets through mission rewards, login, etc. The gacha pool is divided into three types including equipment, eudemons and costume with highest rarity of ★4. The extra items can be decomposed to exchange for blueprint and enhancement materials.

I think I have played long enough to not be a first impression anymore. I've reached lvl 50 with my main character. Is it worth trying? Short answer: it's the typical mmorpg that has auto with a zone-like maps and has weapons/armor, familiar and outfit as gacha. You can also craft weapons/armor/familiars. However, the game has nft which f2p can suffer because enhancing/crafting things needs that currency which takes a long time to grind. Playing it on manual isn't.... Satisfying. If you're fine with it then you should try it. Long answer that I made shorter: This game for me would not be so bad if: 1: If the manual is optimized. 2: If we don't "need" to play all characters(5) doing all the story and leveling all over again just to get the stuff needed like inventory space, territe increase. 3: If there's no territe needed for enhancing gear/familiars or craft gear since only global server has that one which they made as an nft making f2p having a harder time to enhance/progress further. 4: If the server is more stable. So far the thing that is adequate for me are: 1: Kingdom defense (defend the guild core against wave of ai enemies) 2: Lava Valley Team Arena (3v3 live pvp) Although, would've been better if everyone is on equal standing in terms of stats. 3: Familiar Adventure (A hex-based map where we deploy familiars to fight other ai familiars on auto for resources) Would've been better if deploying isn't so limited, needs tickets that refreshes daily to play.

The game is finally and officially in english no more rooted phone trick to translate the text in english. I played this for 3mos. in korean version because no matter what I do my phone wont translate it to japanese text smh. "No matter what you do max out your 3* gears" theyre better than 4* if youre planning to play this as an F2P.

Most of the time you'll just be watching your character do stuff automatically. Strikes me more as a resource management game with RPG functions. The soundtrack is stellar though, characters are very charming and despite not being able to change your character's gender (it's class-locked) you can give them a lot of personality through various costumes and dyes for said costumes. Not the most generous game when it comes to certain currencies (Gold — the main currency in the game — is an extremely valuable resource. Be careful not to spend it on things that will translate into insignificant raises to your combat power). Upgrading equipment is a chore, but I quite like the familiars (pets that fight alongside you) even though the system for upgrading them is similar to the weapons and equipment one, they can't "break" if you fail an upgrade (which requires another scarce item to fix) and you can equip them with every class (same goes for equipment, but not weapons). Of course, they matter less in terms of combat power but I focus more on them since they require less resources to upgrade and are less frustrating to manage (weapons and armor take up your INCREDIBLY limited backpack space, they can break and are a pain to manage sometimes). There's a lot to do every day and events happen all the time, the game is still undergoing major changes quite frequently so there's still room for improvement. Give it a try if you're a fan of resource managing I guess.
