The gameplay and everything is really adorable and fun! I love how nothing is looked behind an energy system where you have to wait irl hours.. there is a sort of energy that's being used but you can easily replenish it by either sleeping or eating! even tho finding out this game had gacha kind of destroyed me,, it doesn't seem ALL that bad; I just REALLY hope it doesn't turn out like Infinity Nikki.. overall a cute n cozy game,, can't wait for the full release!! :> (Vanya.. 💙)

Honestly one of the best cozy games I've ever played, Everything feels so smooth and fun to play. The tutorial was easy enough to understand and the quests are pretty straight forward. There is alot to do— take hobbies, explore around, meet new people, dress up freely however you want, decorate your house, adopt a cat or dog and many more! Now for the gameplay and quality, When i turn the quality to ultra, it is still going smoothly, my phone was heating up a little bit but nothing my phone can't handle. The controls are the same as other open-world games, however the only downside is you can't adjust the UI/Keys to your liking which is kind of dissapointing but I hope it more future updates we can freely adjust it. And the Gacha of course, we can't forget everyone's nightmare. It's the typical gacha of course but there is some gachas that are for other currency like limited and standard banners for genshin. The Exhibition Pass is mostly limited and though i don't know if it's possible to get through events since it is launch, this same goes for the Red Heart Crystals too. The Blue Heart Crystals however, can be used for other limited gacha too, as well as the store for buying clothes/furniture/vehicles. There are different types of gacha and set prices to pull, which i won't get too far since this review will be long as hell

The prices however is reallyyyy cheap. In my currency that is. The pass only costs ₱190 for 1 month which will get you to 60 Exhibition Pass and 600 Blue Heart Crystals for 30 days with 180 Red Heart Crystals. There is another pass for ₱30 for 200 blue heart crystals for 7 days which is cheaper than most games honestly. I really like the concept of being in a town then run around finding strangers and being friends with them. It encourages you to socialize and have fun! Overall, It's a fun cozy game to play for people that are looking to just build, dress up and play with friends!!

The game is cute and pretty. The building mechanism quite versatile. You are allowed to design or draw on some of your clothes and furniture, giving them more variety. There are quite abit of features and building structures locked behind level and your level's xp is capped daily. So a little patience is needed. Thats the basics. Now on to the meat. 1) Paid items: There are lots of paid items, many that are flashy and most obtained through gacha. There are some which can be obtained using free currency, though provided in small amounts. While others which can only be bought using paid currency. Paid items are flashy and beautiful. However, they are also expensive. Meaning, they give you a sense of exclusivity based on the amount you pay (and abit of luck). So if you don't want to pay or just want to pay a little, but desire the same stuff as the rich, then please don't play. You will grief yourself to death. There are many free stuff available. but based on feedback, there are many who view free stuff as non existant and so the game "has little content" and "is ridiculously expensive" based on that perception. 2) Stuff to do in game: This is a social game. Meaning after doing some dailies, you are meant to socialise. There is nothing forcing you and others to interact. Fact is, to be friends, you need to pay 1 wishing star. Which is a limited free currency you can obtain daily. Before becoming friends, you can only communicate through emotes and the text between you 2 are crypted so you cannot chat. Strangers usually have no reason to visit your house unless you piped their interest. Although some may enter your house to annoy you by eating all your food or using your furniture. Others may be kind enough to water your plants. But generally, there really isn't any reason to visit another player's house. So interaction has to be initiated by the players themselves. So if you don't actively seek out friends and have nothing to attract them, you will be basically playing alone. Makes you wonder why you bother putting in so much effort to build the house when no one bothers to even enter and see it. 3) Discord : The official discord, one of the main places to communicate and gather information, is toxic. The moderators poorly handle the disputes and frequently ban without proper justification. For this, just google heartopia's discord toxic to see the issues. Though to be fair, this is only at the point of time of this review. Might be better later? Who knows? But for a social game, having one of its main social component killed, makes it questionable how much fun you can derive from the game 4) Jigsaw puzzle: These are made using AI. Feedback is that many are offended by the Jigsaw puzzle being made using AI. So if such a small component of the game using AI irks you, it is best not to force yourself to play To conclude: - game has expensive stuff. If you are a "must buy" but "no money to buy", this game is torture - game has jigsaw created by AI, so if you see AI as a must purge, then the game is offensive - discord is toxic, kinda hard to find new friends - gotta work hard to earn more to make a big beautiful house, but who will see? And if no one does, for what do I make the effort for? The game looks nice and plays pretty well. But doesn't direct the attention in the correct areas. Eventually, kind of feeling lost as to what to look forward to for every new day in game.
