An Old School JRPG experience
The game is in Japanese, but if you are familiar with how JRPG works you can easily understand the functions and game mechanics since its very similar and familiar when you get the hang of it. Story 3/5 Sadly, I do not know the story since I cannot read Japanese, but from my JRPG senses, you begin the game as a magical girl who journeys around the world to be an adventurer and do guild quests? She defends villagers from monsters and a mysterious spirit of a guy helps her and merges with one of the beasts to fight. He joins you and both start their adventures to roam around the world. So far, that's what I got and I will guess it is a typical JRPG story but it always seems fun for some reason. Music 3/5 Every JRPG has to have very JRPG music and this game delivers. Village music, Overworld music, Battle music Dungeon music and so on are a win win when it is done right, and the game did a good job merging the atmospheres. Nothing super, but it works just fine overall. Gameplay 3/5 Since it is in Japanese, it may take awhile to figure out for the newcomers. Those familiar with JRPGs should know what the attack button is, the menu features and so on. A little practice will get players used to where and what are and should be smooth sailing from there. Battles are turned based with a bar on top showing who will get to attack first based on speed. Reminds me of Grandia for some reason, especially the layout, but that is just my opinion. Gacha 1/5 No gacha so nothing to worry about. Common, Rare and Super Rare items are all over the place for grabs which is nice. Some may require key events or progress to access but thats just how JRPGs work. Item, Weapon and Armor shops are present in towns that have things you can buy by grinding money when fighting monsters or opening chests. You know the drill hehe. Cash Grab 1/5 I am not sure about the game having packages, but I've played a few mobile games of these kinds and it usually has a sort of packages where you buy secret dungeons and unlock easier ways to get EXP or Money, etc. I haven't seen any so far in this game, so I might be wrong. Other than that, you can just okay the game for free and enjoy it will all of what it has to offer. Btw thw game has ads that show when you play online, not too annoying but maybe you can pay money to remove ads, if you want. Overall 3/5 A pretty average JRPG, which is not a bad thing at all. The downside is that the game is in Japanese which may be difficult for non native speakers to play through the game for its story and progress may get hard when reading and making choices help with progression. Other than that, everything else is fine and dandy. Playing this just for the fact its a JRPG is not a problem at all. Just enjoy it if you want, otherwise it can be put on the side. No worries! Thank you for reading my review. Hope you like it, give the game a try if you are curious and hope you enjoy the experience. Have a nice day!
