The game is... Preety good but broke the pokemon law
You spent Action point to cast pokemon moves without any turn based (basicly you can spam the same pokemon attack everytime from the same pokemon without any switch)
There's also the Z move system
After 9 move you will gain access to Z move
Best way is to get a Z move use 6 item and attack 3 time
Trainer battle will Be bullshit item spam (nice job pokemon)
[added comment]
Reroll for dusclops so you can play the 2 support meta
Best Attacker rn is houndoom or lyncanroc (this one is worse than houndoom but still tier 1)
Graphics is good since its the same as S/M
sounds are enjoyable because some trainer don't have voice back then
Gameplay is the above.
Preety bad and Storyline is the same as duel link at this point
Value is meh. Pokemon go but probably good in America
Also they make character gacha that contain pokemon instead of pokemon Only gacha
urgg, I try so bad to like this game but I can't.
1. there is nothing to do in this game despite not using stamina system, but some quest do use certain number of try, it's like one day you can only do the certain quest couple of times.
2. who thought make the pairing gacha is good idea? it's feel more like restrictions than fun IMO, you play pokemon because you want to be able to paired with your favourite pokemon, no? you can make it gacha of course, just make the trainer gacha, and make them have passive ability that give certain pokemon buff, why they didn't think about this?
3. some pokemon can't even evolve because they already are. what's the point in that?
4. the skill learning also doesn't make the cut, you might though like, cool I want this pokemon learn this skill that they "supposedly actually can". nah dude, you might think that empoleon can learn that fancy drill peck or hydro pump, nah, good luck with that bubble skill.
5. very very very very very not F2P friendly.
you could complaint every little thing that you want but for me this is the best mobile pokemon game out there
-Gacha rate is 7% for the highest rarity compared to another games that usually had 1-3% rates
-There is no stamina system you can farm anytime you want
-Yes the battle is different that your usual console pokemon games and the skillset is limited for now
-No PVP but there is co-op mode and i prefer to have no PVP on a game like this
Have fun.
Despite what everyone says, I think this is a wonderful game. It's pretty good for a mobile Pokémon game. You're able to see a ton of interactions that aren't in the main games and outfits unique to this game as well. You can pretty much talk to the characters, too. There's friendship levels in the lodge that give special loading screens depending on friendship level and what unit you have of that character. There's a gacha system, and you can choose your unit after spending I believe about 40k gems (130 pulls?). I haven't hit that mark in over a year, so I am not 100% certain. The story is alright as well! There's more but I'm too sleepy right now lol. (Shiny hunting through eggs is a thing, too!)
Pokémon has a tendency to overlook a lot of its characters, especially the human characters of the franchise, so it's nice to see them be the main appeal of a game for a change.
The game's mechanics are pretty different from the mainline video games. You don't train multiple Pokémon, you team up with other trainers and battle in 3 vs. 3 battles, with each trainer only using one Pokémon. Every Pokémon only has one weakness, and it's usually one of the weaknesses that they would have in the mainline games, so it's quite easy to get behind that.
The characters get new costumes and partner Pokémon every once in a while, which is pretty cool, since you get to see them use different Pokémon and different versions and interpretations of each character. The 3D models are definitely well-made, though nothing too different from the Sword and Shield graphics. Same goes for the Pokémon themselves.
The soundtrack is pretty okay. Nothing out of the ordinary, just pretty decent sounding. It definitely enhances the experience though.
The story I can't really judge since I only read the first chapter of the main story. It's a pretty basic "discover the new region" storyline that we see in the console games, except this time you actually travel with other trainers.
Overall, I'd say this game's pretty cool.
If you really like the characters from the games and want to see more of them, this game is definitely for you. Other than that, it's pretty simple to get the hang of it, nothing that will keep you interested for months on end though, on my end at least.
If you have spent the last twenty-something years challenging trainer after trainer in the gyms of the many regions of the Pokémon world, you have probably, at some point, wondered what are these gym leaders like, when they are not being challenged by recently-moved 10-year-old challengers...
If you wonder that or just wanna hang around with your favorite trainers and get to know them better, than this game is for you!
In Pokémon Masters you arrive in the artificial island of Pasio, where a tournament takes place, called Pokémon Masters League (or PML). Each trainer (including you) has a partner Pokémon and they form what is called a Sync Pair. Some of the examples you'll find in the game are the classics Brock & Onix, Misty & Starmie, Red & Charizard, Blue & Pigiotto, among many others.
The battles have a new format too: trios of Sync Pairs face each other with abilities being used on a cooldown system (instead of the classic turn-based style). As you play the game you will unlock new Sync Pairs, through a Gacha system.
This is a free-to-play game and it includes micro-transactions. However, the intention of the developers, DeNA, was to make a fully accessible game for all ranges of age and income, so everything in the game is fully accessible through in-game earned currency, with no need to invest "real money". The micro-transactions only allow you to get more gems, used for obtaining Sync Pairs, so you don't need to spend any money, if you are willing to spend the time instead!
With an interesting storyline and great opportunities to get to know the personalities of many characters from the many generations of Pokémon games (who, by the way, were really well developed for this title), the game offers a new way to be immerse in the Pokémon universe! Don't miss out!
DeNA stated in a Twitter post that they had an issue with some of the newer versions of Android, for some devices, so you might not be able to install the game just yet.
If it gives you a notification saying it's "not compatible with your device" or if you are having trouble installing it, check back later to see if they have fixed it already!
It's a pokémon 3v3 PvE Gacha-style game. What surprised me was how generous they are with pull rates and premium currency compared to some other Gacha games I've played. I'm not saying they'll shower you with them constantly (I wish they did lol) but you won't take forever to make an 11× Pull. The game and its mechanics can be a little overwhelming for new players to fully grasp but as far as games go this one's on the simpler side. What I do commend them for is the soundtrack. This game has an amazing soundtrack. So many great tracks! They remix original Pokémon themes but sometimes they end up creating a better version than the original material. They advertise this game as having multiplayer but it is so incredibly limited they shouldn't even mention it. Storyline is very simple, very basic. I guess the main attraction is having countless Pokémon characters interact with each other in various settings and scenarios. Graphics are okay. Nothing to write home about but passable. The gameplay is really dynamic and you can speed up the battles and even use Auto Mode (though I do not recommend it). It can feel repetitive at times so they introduced the "skip tickets" which is an item you spend to reap the rewards of a battle without having to battle every time you want to get those rewards in exchange for your stamina. Don't worry about skip tickets, they're incredibly easy to obtain and you get some every day. Maxing out characters is a little tricky. You can easily max out their level and level cap without too much grinding, but raising their "potential" (reaching EX level) can be a tough task if you don't have a lot of strong characters that can carry you through the Elite Four event. Eventually you'll be able to raise a few characters to EX level (which means getting an insane power boost, a new costume and sometimes even a custom song that you can play in the jukebox and during battles that you have already completed). Overall a very good experience, paying for stuff with real money is completely optional, just don't expect to be pulling all the time for every character banner, but I'm sure you know how gacha games work. Definitely give it a try!
The best Pokemon mobile game right now.
This is a what if... of Gym leader, Elite four, Champions and villains interact with each other. The trainers are so flesh out straight from the game.
The charm about the game is how unique the pokemon is depending on its trainer.
The gacha system is Fair for F2p if you dont try to be greedy. It has a pity system for a guaranteed pull.
The battle style is unique, its not a turn base but Speed based battle.
The characters is the best thing in this game, like your favorite Trainer the Legendary Red or The Great Rainbow rocket Giovanni.
If your a pokemon fan then this might be for you.
Well well... Ultra Necrozma is a hella strong and on its own uber tier. Power creep is real 😨
But for real, this game is quite a different experience than your usual mainline games or even mystery dungeon. For one, it's not turn based and second, it's a gacha game... Need I say more?
...
Really?
...
Fine
The biggest 'upset' is the fact that there are no 'wild' Pokemon (though eggs exist) so that throws the nain series concept out the window
Secondly, the fact that every trainer is paired with a single Pokemon only and the only way they would change is if they have a seasonal or otherwise character variant.
However the most egregious of them all for me is the fact that movesets are fixed. That's right no moves can be learnt or forgotten other than if they change due to evolution... So you can't have that trainer with your favorite Typhlosion learn Thunderpunch (Ethan) or heck even have your own (MC's) Pikachu learn Discharge... or evolve for that matter... . I get that Pikachu is the mascot and all but seriously??
Battles are a 3v3 format but not like your triple battles in BW/B2W2. There are 2 times of enemy target designated on moves, 'An opponent' or 'All opoenents'. No 'cant hit non-adjacent enemy' nonsense, so there's that.
Still I would say it's a neat experiment and somewhat successful even but it's really a gacha game dressed up as a Pokemon game not a Pokemon game at its core.
Also P2W for champion stadium at least.
The rest is quite easily doable as an F2P'er. ( ^_^ )/~~
