First of all, I'll probably continue playing this game. However, I'd like to warn everyone and write this review first.
The game doesn't have the usual pity and instead you can buy a chosen standard character for 200 of the pull currency. So 200 pulls are needed, and before that there is no rate increase. On the limited banner from what I see it's 120, which is better but it's still high compared to other pities, like in star rail's pity. I think it's fair to compare these two since rememento white shadow is HEAVILY inspired by star rail, to the point where sometimes it feels like im just straight up playing a reskinned hsr with an open world.
Currently there only seems to be one actual event and 3 daily reward login events with great rewards (day 7 in both basically being a free random standard 5 star).
In a game where the element and class matters A LOT in teambuilding, the very limited amount of characters you can get is concerning. No free character is gifted for completing the abyss stages even though it feels fairly common nowadays to at least give a 4 star for this kind of thing. The only free characters are the characters you get at the very beginning, a dark element healer girl from the mail and a free 4 star in an event thats unlocked after around 10-15 hours of the story. Or at least that's where I unlocked the event. Oh, also the event is literally just about clearing specific main story chapters and the only time limited thing about it is the store with currency you get for clearing stages and these specific story states. So it can barely even be called an event.
The exploration feels very clunky but I appreciate them at least giving you the option to just sprint on a mount anywhere you want.
Character development overall has 6 relic slots, something very similiar to the weapon equivalent in star rail and a skill tree. Honestly if you ever played a hoyo game you'll know everything from the start.
Personally, I actually don't find the game that bad. However, it's very difficult to enjoy it with the lack of freedom they give you for building a team you want. And I don't even mean a full 5 star team but it took me ages to actually get a full 4 star team that isn't just the beginning team. Even the 4 stars are very difficult to get in the gacha. While I understand it with 5 stars, I don't think a gacha should restrict the player this much from even pulling for the a ranks they like.
Other than that, I guess it's difficult to get equipment exp to upgrade it. But that's just a small complaint and doesn't really matter as much as the other problems I have.
game heats up real quick and randomely crashes sometimes. gameplay is alright. combat like HSR but with you can increase or decrease the amount of mp you use for a characters skill. this changes its effect. movement is open world.
storyline so far is ok so far. no oustanding writing though and cutscenes seem cut short and goes to fast into another scene. also kinda glichting the voices.
