Pretty average. Graphics are decent but not amazing either, the 3d models aren’t that good cuz many sharp chins, but some do have physics apparently, tho not the ones you’d expect. Music is meh, overall story seems to have efforts put into it since it’s voiced with proper scenes etc... but it’s ”rythm” feels messy. Combat doesn’t feel great despite not being bad per say, but the characters don’t really help with it.
For it’s characters, the game somehow gives the vibe of echopocalypse, where only ssr are good and everything else is watered down versions of them, especially skill wise. For a game that tries to be original with it’s design goal (cats), the characters feel mostly generic and unintersting, you’ll mostly be pulling ”nameless” dudes who only exist for the sake of being there... Again, even the skills aren’t intersting to read, most do the same thing without much distinction.
The game does try to be generous and give a lot of pulls for the regular banner, so there’s that, but it really doesn’t feel great doing it.
It’s a bit hard to explain, but it’s basically shit balance, and probably p2w later on since there’s pvp.
Don’t wanna say it’s bad, but i wouldn’t really recommend it, feels like a waste, quite a few better gacha games out there than this one...
In the Chinese server, they have male characters, so if this server don't add them, I won't plus scores for this game. This game male characters are very precious. I love them so much!
*note: Not rating storyline as I ended up just hitting skip after a few chapters. It does seem to be a bit interesting though, so I wouldnt mind going back and reading it eventually.
I am really on the fence about this game. I have been playing it nonstop for the last week or so, yet I am hesitant to recommend it. Here are some pros and cons to help you decide if you want to put some time in to it:
Pros:
♡ Fun character design in which all the cat people have cat forms. (See con list for an addendum to this though)
♡ Fun battle system. This is the main reason I keep playing. I enjoy the card based battle system and have fun ranking characters up to do more and more difficult content.
♡ The music is pretty enjoyable. However, a certain voiced song gets used soooo much... You can tell the devs really love it lol. Thankfully you can customize what music plays on the home screen.
♡ LOTS to do. Almost an overwhelming amount. Theres a PVP Arena that you can do auto battles on, a real time PVP Arena (only open during certain times of day), fishing, cooking, cafe management, a battle tower with 2 different modes, a world boss, clan (guild) activities, another PVP system where you do teams of 3 (like Princess Connect), order deliveries, another order delivery system that is a little bit different, events, and probably more that Im not thinking of off hand.
Cons:
♡ The biggest pull for me for this game was seeing the ads where you play as the cat form of the characters and explore 3D environments. As of me writing this review, there is literally only one level available right now where you do this. It takes maybe 10-15 minutes to get through. The ads make it seem like this is a big part of the game. It is not. The game is stage based (like 1-1, 1-2, etc.) and turn based battles. There is no free roam mode or exploration. The cat segment is one singular stage. (I have completed the entire story mode that is available currently and can confirm only one stage exists for this).
♡ A lot of people might disagree with me here and thats ok, but I really dislike the overt fan service. Some of the skins you can buy sort of shocked me. Like, what am I playing again lol? One skin is portrayed as the girl being in what looks like a red light district club and is wearing lingerie. Some people may like that, so whatever. But just based off of ads and stuff I was not expecting that sort of thing. I will say it seems to be confined to skins (purchased with real money) but also I skipped most of the story mode reading sections so I can't say for sure.
♡ No male cat characters. There are male characters you can get, but none of them are SSR and none of them have cat forms. Every character can have their cat forms viewed, but for the characters that dont have cat forms, they just turn into a purple ball of light. Its weird to explain. There are male cat people in the story, so I hope they get added later.
♡ REALLY stingy on giving pull currency. There are 2 types of banners. A regular basic banner, and premium banners. Holy cow, they DROWN you in basic banner currency. You get it from everything basically. I can do TONS of 10 pulls even in a single day due to how much they give. HOWEVER, its not particularly useful as the best characters are saved for the premium/limited banner. My theory is they drown you in basic currency to make up for the fact that premium currency is hardly ever given out. You dont even get prem. currency from doing the story levels. Or from doing the battle tower modes. You hardly ever get to pull on the premium banners compared to the regular one. This is why other reviews say this game is geared towards whales. I agree with this.
♡ Last but not least: some of the character models just look really lifeless. (looking at you, Asura). Especially in the story mode where the avatar is on screen talking. Idk how to explain it, but some of them are really lacking. Like they are just Anime Character Number 3, you know? This is not the case with all of them though, some have super cool designs. Just unsure why the main cast looks the way that they do. Its like their faces arent up to date. Does that make sense? Maybe not. Someone else said its due to their pointy chins. Maybe thats it. I would love to hear other opinions on this lol.
Ok, so this was a lot longer than I thought I was gonna write. But there you have it. Im not sure how long this game will last due to the issue of wanting you to spend real money. For example: a cafe skin was $30 USD. You hardly ever see the cafe. So, like, what!?
I pre registered and downloaded just after release.So, I can't say it's good, but I can't say it's bad either. The idea is novel, and I'm all for it(Ich liebe katze! ฅ^•⩊•^ฅ), but the game itself doesn't captivate me. The characters are likable, and the gameplay is decent too. Graphics are pretty nice as well. However, F2Ps may suffer when it comes to character gacha. I think my issue is that the story isn't engaging enough for me. I recommend you give it a try, some people might really like it, but I don't think I can fit a game into my already overflowing gaming schedule if I can't get 100% enjoyment out of the game. However, I am considering coming back sometime. Side note, I wouldn't mind more male characters, the existing ones aren't my type.
I mean, I get it... catgirls are appealing, but theres too many gaming sins. Nevermind the horrible translation (ai could do better than whatever they did here) how is it that I'm on chapter 3 and I STILL can't customize my own team? Every other game ever allows you to customize a team after the tutorial, and this game fails at that basic premace. All to hamfist the main story... an interesting one mind you, but just let me play as someone else!! Even if you raise the two/three cats they force on you, the combined power winds up being below recommendation. Why do you need to drip-feed basic features that are locked behind chapter progression instead of giving them all at once? It makes no sense!
Hate me or not but this game is whale sided. Normal story mode currency pulls? Dont hope. Want to play events? grind 8 chapters to unlock it then you gonna get gatekeep by high power scaling. Want to complete daily? grind chapters to unlock all stuff that is required to complete it. looking for premium pulls? Look harder. Im still at 40 pity on the collab rn and already chapter 9 call it skill issue idc cant change the fact that the pulls are hard to get. More funny is that the game will pour discounts in your face to force you on buying it. Sure you get a lot of standard pulls but its still bad. I love the game tbh its just the way you get pulls are dumb.
The girls are very cute, stunning graphics as well. The music and voices are great, but it'd be even better if there were more voice lines.
However, the gameplay does get old after times. It gets pretty repetitive. The balancing also needs some work as well, but right now, it's good enough. The game favors p2w players over f2p players, but it's still playable imo.
To sum up, gameplay is a little wonky, but girls cute.
its good but a little pay to win with the premium summons taking long to get. game play is average turn based. graphics are very good with 3D models and won't overheat your phone even if your phone is 5 years old like my phone. story is there but i normally skip it unless i have sound on then i watch some of them.
a pretty good game in turnbased genre. i like the skill cards merging mechanic which adds a little bit of thinking to the battles. you will get lots of summons just by loging in and playing the game. i just wish the dialogues were not so long!
