don't believe the comments of hate for their bad luck at the game, the game actually is very f2p friendly gives a lot of crystals for summon and give UR characters from collabs free so what the others are talking is pure bs enjoy gatcha games with ur luck. I'm f2p and have a lot of lvl99 UR
nothing need to say about graphic. it's square-enix so it's top notch. same to the music and sounds.
gameplay do give fft feel and tagatame, which is good combination. lots of features despite being standard one. small improvement can be made with the ai and some functions such as buff/debuff timer, auto repeat quest x times etc
monetization however... well it's the usual gumi monetization. your characters progression will get blocked by that crystal wall sooner or later. keep in mind it's NOT you MUST pay real money, you can try with freebies but it WILL take time. they also add royal rank which progress faster if you pay. kinda bummer.
all in all if you are not into pvp, you can enjoy th game as filler or time killer. but if you are min max-er or pvp-er, well... how tough your wallet?
gameplay wise: is solid somehat similar to FF tactics, but no at all, is similar to alchemist code on various parts, (like the work system, need to rework that part) is solid the gameplay but still far to FF tactics, the chars have their charisma.
design: excellent, alongside the music, pretty good i have to say, char design are unique (dont know if ssr or sr have unique models), has the felling you playing a final fantasy tactics game (well only on that sense, no yet gameplay wise)
Gacha: i was lucky to get various UR, they have various from brave exvius, again is kinda bad or good on what do you think, but SSR are good too.
I'm gonna be honest here. The gameplay is amazing because I love Final Fantasy Tactics, period. The rates could be better but it doesn't bother me that much tbh. The graphics and art are amazing but for some reason, in-game graphics are a lil bit wonky? but still superb. Don't read Japanese but I'm enjoying the storyline even if its just the visual aspect. I do still get most of what is going on based on the visuals. I can't wait for this to come out on Global. I'd say overall, I like it but it could be better when it comes to the rates and how certain things are locked behind a paywall. I recommend this game at the end of the day.

- Gacha rates + Thancred behind rolling in gacha (not obtainable by rolling him in gacha directly), setting a worrying precedent for future banners for limited characters
- VIP in the form of Royal Rank (clearing Chapter 1 gets you to Royal Rank 1). Increasing this Rank as F2P seems like a lot of time investment required, clearing enough missions to obtain a small amount of Royal points
Overall, a good game soured by greed and unfortunately questionable monetisation.
I don't think I've ever seen such a terrible monetization system as is in place here. It's a real shame that the greed is impossible to ignore since the actual gameplay is actually pretty fun.
Tried on day 1 for 1 week. the gameplay, sound and graphic is good but the monetization is just shown much of greed it's disgusting. I don't mind the gacha rate in any game, but when it's combined gacha, (polluted also with equip, not just characters) toppled with VIP system and buy a unit, and limited character outright of the game, that's when thing I think too overboard. not to mention character shards? bruh, don't come to my face and say this is better than fgo 1% rate.
Voiced story makes the sceneplay more alive. For FFBE players, to finally see their characters in 3D models is a joy in its own.
As of current gameplay, the game progression take different approach where maxing many units is not the norm here, unless for 1-2 units. And that abt to change with upcoming 12/18 update (1.1.0). Spend resources wisely and you'll be fine.
Gacha rate and pricing is okay-ish. This game use gacha business model, so re-rolling (risemara), low UR rate are just common practice. if you think the pricing too expensive, think about their costs on production side.
its a tactics clone without the birth of originality boring copy of a game thats just out right better music is crap flat out it feel poorly done and adding high class instuments to an original song and putting a spin on it to tell people your the one behind it is just plane lame srry as it stands i dont like it + game play is slow gem build up is crappy maybe 200 gems per quest would be best for the slow pace no one wants to spends 2 hours grinding for one pull.........
If only it gives easy reroll, the gameplay alone is meh, the music is the only good thing, what a dissapointment, wait a minute it's Square Enix, and with GUMI, lol
Edit: after 1 week playing, I realized the game was so bad, an annoying farming thing, a 2% drop rate gacha, arena will filled with meta, co-op is slow, 1,5 speed (lol)
And I'm afraid it will end with same result as servant of throne or woff mobile, discontinued with 1 year life,
