It's Picross but with Konami-related properties and FREE!!! What's to hate?
The game has an easy-to-understand gameplay loop for those unfamiliar with Picross, and revolves around you filling squares using the numbers as a guide to create a pixel image of something from a Konami game. There's over a hundred puzzles to clear, and a surprising lack of microtransactions beyond buying hints, which for a puzzle game like this, really aren't necessary. Plus you get 10 free hints, none of which I've had to use yet. I'm not completely familiar with Konami's lineup of retro and arcade games, but I do recognize a good number of the various sprites and icons I unveil by completing puzzles. The gameplay is surprisingly good on mobile, though the music can get repetitive. It's one of the best free puzzle games for mobile you can get, and as a newer fan of Picross games, I highly recommend it.
Recently I dove into the world of Picross and instantly got hooked. Two on the Switch (Mario Picross SNES, and Picross S Sega Genesis), and now I can add this one as a good one. The music is all chiptune of Konami's classic arcade games, just like the puzzles themselves. Brings you back to the good old days when they didn't suck (like they do now). You can play either with your fingers or by using a directional pad.
Only downside is it offers little help. No random row/column solver in the beginning like other games and no mistake corrector either. However it does auto-complete the X's for you once you fill in the exact numbers, so that's something. You have hints, but they aren't infinite.
Defenitely play it.
