I want to try to at least like this game, oh hell did I try and failed, the game seems not solid enough, the gacha is more into the magic and weapon and cosmetic (clothes and such), but character will get eventually as story progress. the problem is in the gameplay, with weapon and magic (ARMS) gacha, this one becomes extra crucial and you can't just enjoy the game as it is, not only that leveling in this game just hell, it's hard, the movement also not as that smooth and as that sensitive, in very basic level you can get your ass handing to you, auto or manual.
Wild ARMs is one of my favorite game series, so it's always good to get more of it. Sure, a gacha game is the last thing I expected (or even wanted), but it could have turned out a lot worse. The game itself is fun, the music is great, and it's nice to see familiar characters once more.
And you don't even have to pull randomly for them!
Edit - January 30th, 2019 - A big update is adding in a character gacha system. We'll have to see how that works out.
Why I can only use rud at the beginning? Players should have the liberty to pick the starting character. You know, like most wild arms game.
Battle lack finesse. It just tap tap tap no variation, you have skill, switch character, etc. nothing special.
Music was great based on what I have played so far.
One thing that sadden me the most is that this game use the two premium currency system like many other mobile game made by some big company.
before v2:
cool. I can get most of the characters through the story mode. gacha is not mandatory. get 5 stars with free pull petty easily. and the costumes (cash)… a little bit expensive but I don't mind.
after v2:
started divide each character into class / rank.
kinda hard to explain but I feel this game is more like any other game.
outdated looks and very similar to white cat project in gameplay and graphics, quite disappointed. Dragalia Lost seems headed in the same way too... Back to FGO sadly...
this game took a great turn based rpg franchise and turned it into a generic action rpg game. it's likevthey didn't know anything about the franchise or its fans.
