Makai Wars is basically Pocket Disgaea, but probably more simple than that. Gameplay is a lot more limited than what's capable in Disgaea (no grabbing/stacking or tossing and Geo Prisms work differently amongst other differences), the stages are only aesthetically different, and units can only be obtained through Gacha. If Gacha RNG looks down upon you, you might not get the very best units. However, like Disgaea, even the simplest of units can be powered up. Both units and equipment can be boosted in several different ways, and it's possible to Rank Up units if they get boosted enough! Equipment can receive numerous perks when boosted to! Honestly, if you like Disgaea gameplay and want a more bite-sized version of that (with the same over-the-top special skills), Makai Wars is pretty dang great! The title screen music isn't, though. Please mute when installing.
its pay to win dood , honestly to finish the story chapter u need to get at least *7 rank equip with good effects and full upgrade, and also 'banner' chars like metallia and zetta, or awakening form or tyrant like killia, valva or mao king laharl... other than that, hell... u wont finish the story chap.. to grind such equipment (*7) its not that easy, due to stamina restriction and limitation of mana for upgrading ur equipment.. the gacha rate is a no no
i don't know how this gem of a game flew off my radar all this time😔 but now that i find it, i am freakin loving it🤘 characters are super cute, battle mechanics is engaging and fun with catching storyline. if u haven't played it yet, you are missing out on aloooooot of enjoyment!
well i was breed with disgaea, born from disgaea....i raised by disgaea...as a baby i cryed all night disgaea was there. disgaea comfort me feed me the breast milk rpg...and wasnt shame...did it in public too....oh how the days where i feel off that tree...n disgaea was there....2...3...4.... i didn't really get in to the one where laharl was that gurl but that was hot. i miss u disaea...maki sensei ....u will live on...u n mother 4...we will never forget get u....
Generic SRPG with auto on uncleared, making any sort of gameplay borderline pointless. The Disgaea vibe, while pleasant, is merely audiovisual. 3k yen 10-rolls on top of a measly 1% rate for the highest rarity.
Features units from both Disgaea and Yurudora.
Re-rollable 3* Unit aside from Asagi (yes the pool is fixed but at least it has Artina).
Gameplay wise, it's pretty simple. Of course it's the typical grinding game like Disgaea side with a little twist of elemental affinities dominant from Yurudora side.
