This used to be an amazing game that apparently has a team of absolute retards behind it. The global version ended up dying, the jp version is only playable on 64 bit devices, and they'll apparently keep on taking every wrong choice possible until they drive this game to the ground.
Currently they've even changed the main way you'd farm stones for an absolutely terrible mode...
My final verdict is it looks great, has gameplay that can be fun for a while, but it isn't worth shit because the devs will ultimately end up killing the game.
Personally, i love this game (with now having a phone capable of running it perfectly, using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S). Treading carefully though, as the devs have quite aggressive and very unpredictable atittudes (95% of the times in the bad way).
I'm gonna mention a "pattern" I've noticed throughout the times as a (mostly) F2P player in this gacha with rubbish pull rates. Basically, if you play the game actively for at least a year, you're bound to be a whole month (or even 2, depending on how many characters you have) without getting any new character (I'm on my 3rd right now which is new, having only gotten two new old perma characters and no limited ones). This then becomes extremely dismotivating, you're likely to give up farming and only do dailies. By the time when you're really thinking of uninstalling the game, then the game surprisingly ends up giving you one (or even 2 or 3) new characters. Then you feel motivated again, just for a little while as you're gonna suffer again real soon for 1 or 2 months, as the gacha rates are total garbage specially for the amount of resources they give you (totally ridiculous if you compare it to DFFOO, which then again is not-arguably-at-all the best gacha with the best f2p model there is), not mentioning the fast pace at which they release new characters as well as sudden 48h bait banners to run you dry (as if you weren't already) before something good comes up.
i think that i'm late to say this but.. this game is my another favorite mobile game besides final fantasy mobius and kingdom hearts UnionX that not long a go been shut down too.. thank u for the great experience and memories that u gave us square enix.. i merely suprised when i wanted to play this game again and update this game i saw this notice that the game is shutting down 😭 it's sad but.. what else we can do ): i hope square enix bring some other great mobile game like mobius, khux and soa after shut downing the great game ):

Rip global version, but i love this game for it's awesome graphics and gameplay. especially for the real time multiplayer so that me and my buddy can fight bosses together. Also rates are pretty good and the game provides you with a lot of character tickets so it's not difficult to get 5 star characters. story is entertaining and funny (i only know episode 1 since global version had that one) but either way this game is amazing
this game is so so IMO, but it's pretty good for phone no lie.
the graphics is superb, y'all talking about this graphic on the phone man, this is par with pc and PS. it's smooth honestly.
action gameplay also easy to handle, but sometimes it can be boring, because you'll keep repeating the same thing.
but the gacha sometimes can be painful, I've been in the "get everything but the one you want" so many times, it's so painful that i just want to quit this game.
it stopped working for my android phone. i thought ot was cause i lacked space but from what i could tell i just wasn't compatible anymore so like most people would do in this situation i downloaded it on iphone. its become readily apparent that you'll need newer faster phones to play most games nowadays. but its been heavily updated and is a lot more better then before, probably cause they shut down the global version
