I used to be super addicted to the routes of this game. Until V's route came out. In my opinion it's the worst route. You hardly interact with V, it feels like it's Rika's route instead.
I never hated Rika, but V's route made me annoyed with her, because it felt like they're shoving Rika down my throat when I'm literally playing V's route.
It would have been much better if they released Rika's own route,then properly focus on V & the player's romance in his own route.
And V's Judge After Ending made it even WORSE! It's completely f**ked up, I don't even know why they decided to write it like that, but they're literally forcing you to forgive Rika or else you're the worst person in this planet. Like, are we REALLY gonna forget what she had done, just like that?!
this is a great game if you have a lot of free time during the day and night. both the graphics and bgm are gorgeous and the story is intruiging and hooks you in. the characters are well developed and they're all unique in different ways. though getting routes like another story takes a long time, I think it's worth the wait. if you're good at managing time, that'd be useful to help yourself, but if you're not, you might lose some hours of sleep. the characters are all charming and you want to root for them and help them achieve their goals. I may be slightly biased since I've played this game for some time already, but mystic messenger is a top tier otome game in my opinion. cheritz did an excellent job at creating this game and I would definitely recommend trying this out, even if it's for one route. It would be a good experience. please be warned that this game is not suited for children as it contains some heavy and triggering themes (especially in another story) such as mentions of suicide, manipulation, drugs and abuse.

great art, awesome plot with lots of twists, sfx that are addicting, gameplay that is easy to understand and now they have opened a new translation pack in spanish!! (≧∀≦)ゞ
this is one game that I would prolly spend a lot of money just to get good dlc and routes!!
ps. even though the game is eating my phone's space a lot I still cannot get the heart to uninstall it.
pps. still waiting for rika and vanderwood's route, v and saeran's after ending and valentines ver., new dlc's like halloween, summer where everyone is included and when I said everyone I mean everyone!! and other events as well!!

Graphics, sound, gameplay and storyline are great. Characters are amazing. I feel like playing Story of Seasons since both is giving me hard times to choose which route to go first. Lol. Plot is deep and I love how dev takes time to explore more into story of each characters. In-game items are okay in price and I wouldn't mind spending some since it's worth my time reading...although my sleeping hours might not agree with that.
I haven't play for a long time but now that I've reinstall the game back, it's time to figure out what my account is...if I can... ಥ‿ಥ
MM was the game that made me into otome games, i really love the visuals, the plot/story is really great. One of the best plot ive seen on otome games ever. The countless days of sleepless nights are really worth it just for me to see in the end that my choosen route ml was happy and slowly healing from his and her trauma or painful past. I am so emotionally attached with them that i am feeling like they are a real person.

Its hard choosing a favorite, especially when they really love you with their all, knowing that seven remember every route ive been into made it even harder. I love them all so much, i wish that maybe in the future Cheritz would consider a route where the mc can help them all with their problems... I know its too good to be true....
Another thing i love about this game is that it lets you farm Hourglass! As a f2p i was really happy to discover that you can farm hourglass and heart's! Sure its tiring but its really worth it in the end. Zen is the best character you can farm hourglass to xDD The tittle he got from the fandom 'Zen the hourglass daddy' is so true xDD You want to farm hourglass? Just flirt with Zen in Christmas DLC over n over again and boom you got what you wish. (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧
I was reeeaaalllyyyy confuse when I started playing this game. And it took a lot of thinking to finally understand the situation 😂😂 But the graphics and gameplays are nice and the characters are neat. It took 900MB from my phone tho ;-;
But if you enjoy playing fantasy romantic games then this game is just fine
Mystic Messenger is a chat-based dating game where new chatrooms appear in real time, at very specific times. It's very fun to be able to chat with the characters & go through the game's story throughout the day.
If you happen to not enter a chatroom before another one opens, you miss the chatroom and are not able to participate unless you use an in-game currency called "Hourglasses" to reopen the chatroom. If you decide not to use Hourglasses to reopen chatrooms, you can still read the chats, you just won't be able to participate in the conversations.
If you have a fair amount of free time, this is a great game! However, if you're a busy person, you might end up missing a lot of chatrooms and lose out on "hearts," which are needed in order to get on a certain character's route and to progress through the story to get your desired ending.
You can use Hourglasses to access missed chatrooms, but you also use them to unlock more parts of the story and to get DLCs, so most people simply don't use Hourglasses on chatrooms and save for something else. Hourglasses can be obtained for free, although rather slowly. The fastest way to obtain Hourglasses is to spend real money.
The characters, Yoosung, Zen, Jaehee, Jumin, 707, V, and Ray are all very fun to interact with in the story. Each character has their own trope, so there'll be something everyone likes.
There are 5 bad endings, 1 normal ending, and 1 good ending for each character. Some character's routes require you to spend Hourglasses in order to access them. Each route lasts a maximum of 11 days in real time, although bad endings take less time.
I can't cover every feature of the game in this review or else this will get too long, but I very much enjoy this game and 100% recommend this game to anyone with a decent amount of free time.
TL;DR: This is a fun dating game for those with a lot of free time. I 100% recommend.
I've been playing this for probably about 4 years now, if not more, but it's still my favourite otome game, by far! It was (and still is) my comfort game back in Uni days. My favourite routes will always be the twins', but Yoosung's was my first one. Definitely recommend it for everything it has to offer. The storyline is so beautiful and bittersweet, but so worth going through with it. Finding out about all of the bad endings just adds to the storyline and I think it's a great touch.
