Not too bad so far! It's definitely high quality in its category.
The initial gacha is generous with an infinite reroll for your first SSR character, two free copies of a healer, and a selector with role suggestions (but you can choose whatever you want).
Characters are collected through gacha or by farming their shards.
It's got several key quality of life features that I consider a must in any game nowadays, but almost none score very high in (except Demian Saga apparently): there's sweeping, collecting all rewards at once, auto progression for speeding through the story (if you don't care too much for it and just want to get it done), auto-equipping and unequipping. Even so, they're missing a toggle for automatic continue of text during story segments and a log of the conversation. I couldn't find a way to replay the story but I haven't looked yet. Also I wish I could upgrade heroes from the battle formation screen.
There's a bit too much going on in the main interface for my tastes, but I think it's still to reasonable levels especially considering I'm at the beginning. I'm talking about being distracted by all sorts of notifications when I'm in the main screen: all the red dots, rewards to be claimed from many different buttons (just give me a single "quest and events" button for god's sake ahah), new quests unlocked, new characters to view, and so on.
I like the story even if it's nothing fancy, or maybe because of it. It's not trying to be more than what it is, and it's holding my interest. I like the pirate theme and the characterizations.
The characters are pretty and I think they're all inspired by existing characters, from various mythologies but also other modern stories. I don't know if this game has an established lore however.
No challenge so far, but I'm not very far into it. The main focus seems to be growing a team with good synergies.
On a bad note, my phone locked while I was doing the tutorial because I was interrupted, and the game died. On restart, I had to start over and choose a different name because the one I had chosen was "taken" even if my progress was lost.
Is it worth trying? (First impressions) Personally a 3 star at least since it's an okay game but the rating system makes it a bit lower.
Short answer:
If you're fine with it chibis with real time skill use that can be on manual like blue archive with idle game mechanics for exp, gear and the like as well as needing to ascend units to higher rarity with dupes or units with same element and rarity then it's not bad. You can actually reach a good amount of chapters with low lvl units as long as it's a good team, otherwise you'll find yourself needing close to the enemy lvl.
Long Answer:
The current good thing about this game is it gives you 2 guaranteed units that you like. 1 is random on pull but it's unlimited tries. Then you could select any unit you want on the second one. Then the pity of the standard banner is 30 pulls.
If you reach a certain chapter you'll unlock link which you can lvl 1 unit the same level as 1 other unit. So if you have good comps then you can reach it with only a few units lvled up.
The current downside for me
-the hero arena. They give you 8 players to choose from to fight and you kinda need to win 8x in a row to get all rewards and if you refresh then your win count reverts back to 0.
-Ascend system to higher rarity. I'm not a huge fan of that since I can feel like we can get stuck on something for a long time but it is what it is.
With recent Update, the Resources are not that scarce anymore, its just right for you to touch some grass sometimes. The devs are properly rebalancing the Units. You can definitely survive as F2P, just don't make a fool of urself thinking of clearing all of the content within a week
Game is very polished. Characters and environment are well designed. UI and menu transition is fast and smooth. Screenshots are not doing justice to the game! battle field is clean and unclotted in which you can easily watch and enjoy your favorite waifus do skills and kick butt camera work is dynamic and moves slowly during battles. a totally recommended game
All is good until the first stage is about to finish, then it keeps looping. Tried everything - reinstall the game, connect to wifi/data, clear cache. Still the same. Sad
This game has idle accumulation (6 hours) and certain minigames amidst the usual stage gameplay. Initial gold accumulation is quite slow. Storyline wise is a bit confusing but I guess that is part of the mystery.
There is culture here, not booba, bit there is something and it's good to see the community is having fun. The chibi battle models aren't the best, but it's honestly not that bad. I don't mind playing it and would consider continuing if there was more booba.
I give 5 star because I like armoured girls here. They are so cute and adorable,
but if I can say, I'm not really into this type of game because it have idle feature.
