Right off the bat massive effortless cash grab. A bit of a big review with slight spoilers for the story I guess so if you wanna read it go ahead!
Gacha: You know how over the last few years when a new gacha drops they'll often offer 50 or 100 free summons where you can keep all the units you summon or in some summons you can only pick one of the 10 multis? Yeah so this game doesn't even do the latter correctly. You do 100 summons, can only choose one even then you have to pay SIXTY BUCKS TO PICK THE SUMMON.
Gameplay: It's essentially Honkai Impact 3rd and don't get me wrong I really enjoy HI3's gameplay but like this is Devil May Cry!! If DMC didn't exist and this game dropped like this then sure it's a mobile game I can excuse the limited moveset but even with a controller (Yes the game allows you to play with a controller at the very least) it's still extremely limited for a DMC game.
Graphics: They're total shit and they look the exact same on minimum and at very highest honestly. If you got a lower end phone then it can most likely still handle this game with almost all of the graphics on max.
Story: Well it's serviceable so far I can't say much and don't wanna spoil for people that do care for story in games in general including gachas like myself, but from what I can tell so far it's pretty much DMC 3 if Nero (specifically DMC 4 Nero) and V were part of the cast.

That's it and you could tell how dogshit this game was gonna be if you've seen the type of ads the devs have been dropping over the last couple months for this game, and mind you, Capcom licensed this shit. Blame them too.

Okay! This is a major cash grab if I ever saw one! The Graphics are nice, very decent for a mobile game, gameplay is kinda mid just a basic mobile game beat em up, but then we get to the WORST Part of this game. The Micro Transactions.
I hope you guys like seeing those Price Tags cause you're gonna be seeing them A LOT, They give you 10 free Multi's where you have to pick one, only to turn around, and sell you that multi for $60!!!! And, that's not the worst of it, a Multi in this game is 1800 of the in game currency, good luck trying to get enough for doing more then 1 multi.
This game is bad, just a shameless cash grab trying to capital in on the DMC franchise, do yourselves a favor and play something else.
first of all, don't listen to people who are ranting about the gacha and the stamina system. if u're a long time gacha game player u should be used to it. this game is very generous with the gacha currency. u just need to do daylies and weeklies stuff and u should be good to roll for the banner u want to roll. don't roll in banners u don't need if u just started btw. especially they do a lot of limited character reruns. rerun characters can be rolled for much cheaper cuz of the step up discount. i recommend trying to roll for these rerun banners instead.
next for gameplay and graphics. gameplay is similar to honkai impact 3, aether gazer, etc. for graphiscs tho, if u have a really good device, or playing on an emu on a good pc, u can max out the graphics. on max settings it looks beautiful. surprisingly good for a mobile game.
for the story tho, don't expect much. it's not the main attraction for this game
back when I played the cbt2, I was so hyped for this game and couldn't understand why people were complaining about the combat system , I never played any dmc game backthen so I was not sure . But now that Ive played dmc5 I can understand why ,its just doesn't feel like dmc .
ok so lets judge it from a gacha games perspective ...
characters has different versions of them different rareity basically .
the game gives you 10 reroll multis to get a S character or weapon of your choice but unlike other games you actually have to pay money for that perticular multi, like why? p2w from start ?
the general banner has a short pity of 40 pulls (for the first time ig)where as the limited banner (vergil )has a pity of 90 with 0.66% drop rate .
theres also weapon banner but nobody gonna give a shit to those.
one multi costs you 1800 which are not so easy to farm .
you get a free S version of Dante if you complete certain missions which are a lot .
also one thing they gives you a free summer skin for lady by login in to the game for 18 or so days but dont give her, so you have to pull for her to use that skin .
story is decent cutscenes are alright but sometimes audio doesn't matches with it. controls are good also have controller Support .
so overall not a bad game but man o man its gonna be hard for f2ps, coz pricing in this game is as bad as EA games.
one last thing if you are from asia your ping will always be High as theres not even a single server for Asia .
tbh I dont't get why people complain so harshly about this game, like, what did you expected from new gacha game, that wasn't even made by capcom in first place? it essentially looks more like HI3rd (and yes I do know that hoyo tends to take "inspiration" from DMC characters and combo attacks. in POC characters are separated more like in HI3, with each new character with new weapon type and it's ok for gacha games to do this.
can't defend graphics, those are absiolute bs; I'm bot bothered to read a story, so can't say anything about it. character art like sprites and skins are mid, but it's better than nothing. huge paywall, yes, but if you play any other gacha game then you know that to get new characters, weapon and resources you need to grind, it's not a new thing for games?? i must say its's a 5.5/10 for me, I enjoy original battle voicelines and competition part of the game like bloody palace or boss hunt. i wish for this game to get better in graphics and character models tbh, i love DMC and its's already cool that i can enjoy part of my fav game on mobile

After playing this game for 3 days:
-Gameplay : Ordinary, nothing special. its like playing "honkai impact" a post-honkai odyssey or someting.
-Sound Quality : Ordinary "i often play games where the sound volume is only 10% sorry :V" if you listen to one side its mostly remakes.
-Storyline : no comment, Because i skipped the story at beginning.
-Graphics quality : normal just like the OG DMC 4 "i dont care about good Graphics, i focus more on gameplay and storyline".
This game F2P?, you just need "patient" (if you want to get the character you want, dont expect F2P, unless your luck is god level) Because getting crystals is very difficult to get. "unless there are lots of event with crystal prizes"
PS : if you are disappointed with DMC mobile, it is better to BUY and play, the OG : - Devil May Cry HD Collection - Devil May Cry 4 - DMC : Devil May Cry - Devil May Cry 5 on PC, PS, XBOX,Etc.

Imagine the character design is like Doulou: soul land 2
and the story goes to Dante and Virgil trap in the hell, while bonding to each other they talk and repent to each other ooooooopppps the God of Judgment appeared. The God of judgement took them to the Real heaven and they become the soldiers of God. gameplays fine..you can get 60fps i guess, pending on your hardware.
but when it comes to co-op. it drops to like, 20fps. which..is stupid.
gacha, at first, you get 50 tries. to get a SSR on the 50th summon. and if you get a crap, well,, you just wasted your time. i mustve summoned over 100 times already, and did not or havent gotten another SSR.
conclusion, the summon rates are crap and this game will eat and waste your time.
after a week almost, and im already getting bored. everythings tedious and bland. the characters stuck to using only a set amount of skills. i honestly, would be surpised if this game makes its first year anniversary, before going EoS.
The graphics are meh. For the gameplay, you cant't dodge twice when you're in the air during combat with the enemy. The stamina runs out super fast and it takes hours or even a whole day just to wait for it to fill up. And to refill stamina is freaking expensive.
To grind items, you can only do it once a day and you only get a little. The worst thing is there's no cool music or any soundtrack while playing the game. The storage needed so far: 3.92 GB and the power usage is about 22.9%.
