So ive been playing the game for a little over 30 minutes nowz so here are my initial thoughts.
-Story is interesting, progressing in the story is locked behind live shows (like Bandori and Shining Live)
-Voice in lives is very staticky, hoping the devs will fix this in future patches
- For now, I recommend turning the voice over in lives in the settings down to like 40 and it won't be too much of a problem lol
-They have an area called "My Room" which you use to decorate your own little cubby corner. Some specific character items you can buy from the shop. Haven't worked through that part much so that's all I can say for now
-There is a battle pass like system (again like bandori or Project Sekai) to level through and collect rewards
-Upgrading idols is the same as any other rhythm game where you get upgrade items from lives or missions
-Overall the game is interesting, your basic male idol rhythm game, nothing too special to make it stand out other than obv the new spin on warlords becoming idols in modern age lol
-There are cover songs in the lives already, so I'm hoping more covers of songs will become available as time goes by
¤ BEWARE ¤
I input an email and password fod data transfer and even linked a google play account (they give you either email or google play option) and when I tried to log in to my tablet it did not work and kept showing an error. I deleted the app and reinstalled on both phone and tablet and my account was no longer connected so I had to start over. That's fine since I barely did anything in the game anyway (just sucks I have to sit here and reroll for Nobunaga again but oh well). There are clearly some kinks with the data transfer option so do not uninstal the game or you may lose your progress.
leaving a review as someone who can understand japanese and has been waiting since february for the release o7
OVERALL/TLDR: 3.8/5 STARS
Great game, I'd still recommend to others, but they could improve more on the bugs, lag, download, rhythm game gameplay, the loading, the sound, etc. Anyway, the other features are still decent so it kinda balances things out, I guess? I'm hoping all of you will get the cards that you want. Please stan Yuutarou.
VOICE CAST:
The voice cast for this game is Amazing, it's the reason why I got interested in it. For those not into voice actors or stage play, the voice cast consists of half voice actors (most of which are very popular/rising voice actors in the industry) while the other half are stage play actors. I think this cast is one of the reasons why the game ranked #1 in Japan play stores during the release.
Only Chapter 0 is fully voiced, but I'm still glad because they seriously did justice to each character. Shoutout to Masuda Toshiki fr
STORYLINE:
One word to describe it is “intriguing”. Several Sengoku-related games have been created in the past, but this is the first time I have heard of Sengoku generals turned to idols. Seriously caught my interest. The prologue chapter/Chapter 0 had an interesting start as well, and Chapter 1 has maintained that pacing but made it more casual and showed how the characters were adjusting to the modern times. I have yet to read the next chapters, but I hope everything is still well.
I enjoy the mini stories of each character because you really get to know them more, even if it's just a little bit.
RHYTHM GAMEPLAY/SONGS:
Honestly, didn't know what to expect for the rhythm game play since I'm not too familiar with the developers but all I can say is — it gives me mixed emotions. For starters, the downside is, if you're used to fast speed, the fastest is 12x yet it still feels slow. I usually play at 10.5x in other Japanese rhythm games, but the equivalent for that in this game is around 11.5x or higher. Sometimes, the notes are lagging as well (and even the download is really laggy). You can only unlock songs after reading passed a certain story, which just forces you to play more lives until you can unlock the story (Personally, I don't mind this since I enjoy the story for now, but it is testing my patience since I have to read/skip the stories just so I can unlock the song of the character I like).
On the brighter side, I love the songs! It was a smart move for them to let the characters sing extremely popular songs because it did catch the attention of a lot of people. Their own original songs sung by all 12 of them surprised me the most because all of their voices blended well. I am once again appreciating this voice cast.
> Short comment about the sound: The characters sound crunchy when they talk in the middle of the live. Idk if it's just because my phone is old though, but lowering their volume made them sound not-crunchy.
There's something similar to a guild called “Circle”, which is nice because I can also chat with other players. Love it so far
GACHA/CARDS:
Lo and behold— Surprisingly, the gacha rates are pretty decent. 5% chance of getting an SSR isn't too bad compared to other Japanese rhythm games. I recently got two SSRs in one 10 pull (and both weren't even the characters included in the rate-up banner), so they're really not joking about the rate-up
Card illustrations are pretty. And, I also like how each card rarity has a different item to level up the card. I can waste all my SSR level up items for an SSR card, and I can also waste all my other SR level up items for an SR card. Good call
It's so....slow. Why is the highest speed only 12.0??? and even then, you can't lie to me and say that it's not slow as all hell, then.
the long slide notes are horrendous and make you miss at the end of them no matter what. The different colour slide notes (i.e., green, orange, and gold) are a very confusing mechanic, but you get used to it.
to me, the background is very distracting to the notes, and i find it difficult to differentiate between the two.
My only main issue(s) are what I've just spoken about. other than that, i could totally see myself continuing to play this game. However, im not too charismatic.
Due to language barriers, if you dont understand japanese to its complexity, you'll have some (minor) issues depending on how much you know.
After the game ends, I'll give a review of this game.🙂 But never mind, so here I will share some of my points of view against the protagonist in the game even though the protagonist does not exist too much in the game's main story. And we know the protagonist is working with a Master (the bar shop owner)
We were surprised, right? Where is the possibility or indeed where the protagonist and Yochan are related in first chapter where they was in the house and while yochan is suggesting to warlords to stay here yochan say to protagonist that there's a room that have a lock from inside. And there also a time where yochan say that the protagonist is his niece (?) or nephew, something like that.
First at the 0 main story I don't know what this has to do with it but I'm just curious how the protagonist can still move when everything stops, yet protagonist even though he can still move but yet it seem he can't meet with those warlords... expect Yochan.
Sec in chapter 1 There was a time when Nobunaga was arrested by the police who were patrolling the housing estate because the police said Nobunaga looked suspicious. (LOL) yet as yochan came and give his business card to the one of policemen, and it seem one of them know him because his music and the police say yochan have been save his live because of his music, not to mention the police also show his scars that was on wrist while yochan is still nonchalant person..as the police patrol say sorry and say something that was giving yochan an courage, after those police excuse themselves yochan seem happy yet the protagonist on the back seem sad and on the last of the chapter scene the protagonist was say in the heart since it have '(...)' and the protagonist say some like "how can I do to make uncle smile like that.." yeah something like that if I'm remember it yet if I'm remember correctly he say yochan as uncle.
Third (I'm forget which chapter) when yochan is fainting protagonist is the one with fast act calling the ambulance but once yochan is aware at hospital it's seem he didn't want protagonist to be there, and ask the protagonist to go back home since there's Master and another warlords (forget his name. The one with red hair) since yochan is nonchalant person the protagonist is disappointed but he didn't show it and just go back home.
We also knew in 1 main story where suddenly yochan say those warlords can settled in that japanese house design house because it was very big, the house that was protagonist living is actually belong to Yochan's grandmother house and it should be Yochan's house but yochan give that house rent to since protagonist is the one who took care everything even the gardens (the protagonist is too hardworking. )and now that house is belong to protagonist even tho the protagonist view point that house still belong to yochan, and we see that before the appears of those warlords yochan always busy and almost never come home..and it seem protagonist always been alone at that big house and even on the breakfast yochan and the protagonist is separate eating breakfast ( For example, after the protagonist has eaten breakfast and the protagonist has gone to work, it is possible that Yochan will return home and eat breakfast.) I don't know why he didn't like protagonist much even on breakfast time they don't even face to face ...
Additional. This one might didn't have any concerning yochan, Where mitsuhide once said (at that time they were in a restaurant with 4 other warlords and the protagonist) mitsuhide say that This is the second time he comes to the future and he tells the protagonist that he once met the protagonist's grandmother who was in the hospital. The grandmother treated Mitsuhide well and the grandmother also said that she had a granddaughter (the protagonist). who was younger than Mitsuhide and the grandmother say the granddaughter always came with bring a bouquet of flowers with different colored(?). That time the protagonist was starting to working at Master bar shop. And where was the grandmother's last moment, the grandmother asked mitsuhide to find you and take you to the hospital to see her grandmother for the last time, that time the protagonist was on the way to go hospital by herself yet there's 2 unknown man was surrounded her and ask for money and that time mitsuhide found her and in order to make those men doesn't block your way. And At that time the protagonist didn't see Mitsuhide's face because at that time he was wearing a hoodie and Mitsuhide said that the protagonist had to leave now. As the protagonist was thankful at mitsuhide and manage go to hospital to be her grandmother side for the last time.
that's all I can remember and actually there's a lot more but I can't remember since I can't look the main story on the other websites since the apps cannot be found on qooapp and Google play store because It doesn't exist in my country. That apps it call pipmey, and all the main story in Sengoku game even the new chapter about Hasha have been put there but I can't open it since I need to download pipmey...🥲
THE GAME IS REALLY GOOD
I was just looking for some games to download on my phone and I found this‼️ the rhythm game layout reminded me of aaside and bandori so I thought it was pretty cool and I wanted to try it out :33
not disappointed ‼️ ((o(*>ω<*)o))
I do lag a lot though which does make me lose my combo 💀 but overall it's okay :3
The gacha animation looks great and unique
I'm really hoping the game will survive (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)
I have a lot of expectations for this ‼️ and I hope more people will end up finding this game so it won't end up like aaside‼️ (〃^ω^〃)
(edit: well....it was fun while it lasted ig.......man.)
Hmm.. So, after I try play this game I think this game is good. Have a nice graphics, story, voice and songs (both original and cover).
- The gacha rate I think, it's wise (I don't know but maybe because it still a new game, so let's see in the future). For free players, I suggest to save the gems for the card you really want. Don't waste the gems (For pull 10 cards = 3000 gem). The gems can be obtain by seeing story, doing mission (upper left at home screen), play songs for score mission (you can obtain about 20 gems per mission).
- For card leveling system it reminds me of AASide (if you ever played it). The items for leveling or enhance the card are random given by playing song based on the songs difficulty, maybe? You can boost the drop item to 3x but it'll use 3 stamina to boost. The card illustration looks good, a bit like from ikemen games developed by CYBIRD.
- The songs are good, both original and cover songs. I hope more songs will be added. Can be unlocked by seeing story.
- The Story not all but some have side story along with the main. There's also one with characters icon named profile. Can be unlocked when the fans for that character has reached the requirement. Play live more to get fans (like Ensemble Stars Music system). It can also level up the character rank.
- You can also custom the home screen like Ensemble Stars Music. You can have 2 sengoku characters together, choose their costumes, choose background. You can also add card illustration for the next screen (screen 2-5) and switch it from 2 characters screen to illustration only.
- Gameplay: For me it's a bit heavy. I've try to make it more lighter by turn off the effects I don't need (card showing animation (don't worry the character voice will still appear), chance time, button effects) and change the background to log only (the stage background will be change to cloud and game logo down-left on the screen). I'm a bit shock when I tap my phone's vibrate, so I turn off that effect too. I think it will affect the battery like more draining it. It still a bit heavy I hope the developer can make it more lighter.
You can also custom the buttons like Enstars Music.
I think, that's all for now. I'll explore more later. Thank you!
For a rhythm game by a new developer and company, this is actually pretty good! If you take the time to translate some of the setting for rhe rhythm section, you can see that they put a lot of effort into the custimization features for the players which is very neat since each player has their own syle of playing. The graphics are good for a 2D game, kinda wished the sprites had more life to them and not just their mouths moving. And the songs they have are pretty neat! Most of these are some pretty old songs as far as I've researched, some dating back to the late 80's but I do hope that if the game gets more popular, they can cover more trendy and recent songs since they have such a stellar voice cast who have amazing vocals. On the voice cast as well, really wished the whole main story was fully voiced and I am disappointed that it isnt but I guess they didn't have the money to pay the seiyuus for more voicelines but I do hopw they can update that in the future. Overall, it's great! For a newcomer to the rhythm game scene it's quite well done!
I have played this game for a while and I live it! A pretty neat little rhythm game for everybody(though targeted towards women). The songs are quite nice to listen to and are enjoyable for the most part. The songs aren't super hard like Prosekai but it's still new so we'll see. The story is also quite interesting, some sengoku period warlords and samurai get transported to the modern world and have to get used to living to modern technology. And the characters themselves are well designed!
Now the gameplay part, the rhythm part that the game is all about. It's good! We have the classic long notes, flicks, and tap notes. The notes did seem a bit small(but that may just be my bad eyesight) but there is an option to enlarge the notes in the settings, use a translation app for this part. But some criticisms for the gameplay part is that sometimes taps don't register and you lose your combo. As well as that sometimes the game lags for a brief millisecond and it may result in your combo getting lost. Though this game is still new so it will get better over time.
The songs are quite the best part of the game as they are amazing to listen to! I have many favorite songs in this game that I love, some less than others and some more. Though i do have to say, some things about the audio, the voices for the characters(if you put the audio to loud) get staticy. Lower the audio if you wish to avoid this but most likely this problem will get fixed in the future.
The UI is manageable, easy to get around. Even though this is a Japanese only game(Japanese language) a lot of the UI is in english which means it's be easy to get around without a translation app. Though for the most you can get around and not have to translate anything unless you are reading the story or some other things, other than that it's english friendly!
yall play this game im begging you
i feel like (I JUST FEEL LIKE OKAY) it will have the same fate as aaside argonavis which didnt last very long and i feel very sad qbout it T.T the story is pretty interesting too, the characters are nice. when i go live its just a bit laggy but its not that bad. the voices too, they are nice but sometimes it has problems. its fine though, i can understan. please play it 🙏it might have some issues but i feel like as time would pass it would improve.
Overall I have a feeling this game wouldn't last long but I'm going to enjoy it until then. Praying that the game improves along the way 🥺
There's reroll system where you can keep rolling until you're satisfied so yay!
Rhythm game kinda sucks for now. You can auto-play after clearing a song once so you can do that instead of having to fight with bugs and glitches everytime.
UI is pretty bad especially the loading screen. It becomes quite annoying having to see it so many times.
Not gonna lie I almost drop the game on first day from all that but the story is kind of interesting (cringey at times which makes it funny). To unlock more stories, you have to play live and gain fans. You also get gems from reading them.
Only full voice acting on the beginning chapter by the way. I don't know if they plan to add more or not. So sad I don't get to hear Shinichi and Ogajin anymore after that ;(
Most songs in the game are covers of Japanese songs from around 1970s-2000s. I've heard some of them on D4DJ before. They also have a couple of original songs too.
If you reach a certain level you can join Circle (no friend system in this game yet you can copy your ID hmm). There you can chat with other players and tràde goods you have for decorating your room. There are can badges, bromides, acrylic stands and dolls. Some of these could potentially be real life goods I hope they do that.
