This game is definitely a certified hood classic and expected nothing less from Yostar and especially SNK.
Graphics
5/5
I'm a sucker for games that can use pixel graphics and manage to make the game still look beautiful. This game also gives me a lot of octopath traveller vibes with its combat and style. Especially with the lighting.
Sound
4/5
I love how they switch up the battle theme with each chapter to match the tone of the environment. For example, the first chapter's battle theme in the tower was a bit more sinister while the one in the second chapter is a bit more mystical to match the magical forest theme.
Gameplay
5/5
The game has a Epic Seven and Guardian Tales type gameplay. You walk around different stages from a top down perspective with a sprinkle of side scrolling segments. The combat is nothing we haven't seen before. The combat is the typical auto battle with skills that must be manually activated.
Story
4/5
I'm only have way through the second chapter so I haven't formed much of an opinion yet, though it's pretty good so far.
Gacha
4/5
At the start of the game you get a reroll 10 times roll which is pretty good. BUT! The rates are a bit... low. Though the reason for this isnt because they want your money. the rates for SSRs and SRs are pretty good. But the UR rate is pretty low. but the reason for that is because there are only 8 UR units. So in the future when they add more units to the game the rates might get better... or worse.
Issues
As of now I am using a OnePlus 7pro so my phone is all screen (without a punch out or bezzel camera) So the image on the loading screen booting up the game looks a bit W I D E.
I suggest you play the game on 60fps because the 30fps isn't the best, obviously.
Some transition after battles that go straight into cutscenes or flashbacks are pretty jarring.
If you dont wait for voice dialoue to finish, then the next line of dialogue will not be voiced.
VERDICT
This game is perfect for gacha addicts who love a quality gacha game like Genshin, Blue Archive, Slime memories, and Epic 7. And F2P players who are tired of FGO and Genshin.
Just like my other reviews on Yostar Games, i'm pretty much biased to them.
Graphics - As a Pixel Fan, I loved the animations and Pixelated version of the characters especially Ella (because of her tail). If you liked the Graphics on this game, go visit their twitter @pixelnekogame
Sound - The BGM's are really good that you will even pay Mana (The gold currency for this game) just for the music box which changes your BGM in dreamworld (where you do dorm, commissions etc.). It can be eerie, soothing and many.
Gameplay - its pretty much like Pokemon where if you stand on the front of the trainer, it will call you and challenge you to a battle. Although on this one, stand near to a monster it will chase you. For the battles, It's like turn based but the enemy doesn't wait for you and attacks you, which you can do the same, attack at any time you like etc.
Storyline - It's good but sometimes you can predict what's going to happen so it's no fun. I'm waiting for more chapters if it gets good.
Will highly recommend to my gacha friends
the game became too boring after playing for a few days.
Honestly... I almost feel like I want to quit but I didnt due to the characters (kinda like them)
story is decent
music is good
gameplay is what actually hooked me into playing more,
pixel graphics with old rpg elements in it.
but suddenly i got bored due to grinding
pvp is just full of same team
event kinda meh tbh
guild is just a chatroom nothing else to do.
overall i dont agree with everyone putting high rating to this game
3-4 rating is the best i give to this.
Update:
I already quit...
It was just too boring...
Also I have other games to grind no time for this.
I was hoping that I can unlink my Google acc so that I can giveaway it. But, I cant.
If you dont agree on how boring the game is.
well, its your own opinion.
Really enjoying the game so far. It starts off slow but its easy to progress as time goes. As for my opinion, there are some things that stands out and others that are well made.
(5) Graphics & Art Design: I really love the direction of the art design. The color palate and lighting are well made as well as the animations and the pixelated artwork. When seeing the visuals and playing this for the first time, I got a lot of vibes from other games like Octopath Traveler, a game I really invested time into and enjoyed.
(4) Sound & Music: The sound design is pretty good, I have no issues with it. The music in this game is pretty relaxing and really enjoyable to listen. However, in my opinion, I just don't find it 'memorable' to say "I really like this particular soundtrack or these soundtracks are really good, I want to listen to it over and over". There are a couple of bgms that I like, however, I feel it needs some kind of 'umph' to it.
(4) Gameplay & Controls: This game somewhat resembles to other games like Octopath Traveler but with added elements of a gameplay system from what you would expect out of similar mobile/gachi games. I really enjoy the exploration in the story, it makes you feel as if you are following the protagonist's adventure. The only issue I have is the controls for exploration as it does feel janky at times. At times, it somewhat feels annoying when you're trying to interact with objects. In most of my cases, I often find myself having to reposition the player several times in order to open chests and other similar interactables.
(4) Combat/Battles: Battles are pretty straight forward in this game. There's active battle gauges and as each 'doll' attack or utilize spells, it builds up allowing the player to utilize powerful attacks at a cost. There is auto-battle and auto-reruns.
(4) Story & Narration: The story is interesting for the most part. I've yet to form an opinion about it but with the lore pages scattered around explorations, I often found myself reading them. Usually for me, I skip the story but this time was different. Was it the gameplay or the art? Who knows...
(2) Progession & Leveling: Starting out and leveling in this game can and will feel slow especially your account level. On the otherhand, progessing through and leveling your 'dolls' is pretty simple, easy, and straight forward. There is a catch however, an issue and that issue is stamina. Stamina is limited especially for players starting out or f2p players in general. Also, getting stamina potions can be a challenge (as far as I'm aware) (also note that stamina potions has an expiration date). You can refresh your stamina using your 'Souls' currency, up to 10x a day (but note that the price will increase for each refresh).
(2) Gacha: This area of this game is where I question this game, Is it worth investment of time/money? There are two types of premium currencies. Premium Souls currency which allows gacha draws and stamina refreshs... and then theres Premium Diamonds currency which can be converted into Souls or used to purchase monthly or limited packs and costumes. In my opinion, this game should had just stuck with one premium currency... Also, just for context, $100 US = 648 Diamonds = 2280 + 4200 'Extra' (6480 total) Souls which is roughly around 30 summons (2000 Souls for 1 - 10x draw). You can also get a free 10x draw gem upon fully completing a story chapter and 1x draw gems upon completing daily quests and stuff (can be converted to 1 - 10x draws if have 10 - 1x draws). There's also somewhat of a battle pass, upon collecting a certain amount of shards will unlock different tiers of rewards. these shards are obtainable as you play. I kind of question myself if the battle pass was necessary or not.
In my opinion, all of it questionable but that is expected out of a f2p mobile game. Honestly it just boils down if you really enjoy the game and want to show the Devs support.
Overall, I think this game is fun and very enjoyable. Art and graphics are amazing... The sound and music is enjoyable and relaxing at times... The gameplay is pretty good and the story is quite interesting as it progress. However, the progression does sometimes feel slow and limited... and the gacha aspect is debatable, very debatable... and sometimes feel as if its pay to progress... but looking at the big picture, I feel the game offers a great relaxing experience
P.S.

It's indeed perfect. A very type of gameplay that's not for everyone yet it can make anyone got hook in the game especially if they are real gamer and fan of vintage/classic console games.
Collaboration of SNK and YOSTAR. What an amazing combo. I love it. Seems like we will be expecting future collaboration from both, I really can't wait for that. (Talking about SNK and Yostar Games aside from this)
They should released an albums for this games OSTs. I would love to get them ~ 🎶🎶
Any newbie that wants to use Invitation Code. Please use mine. Thank you so much.

Fantastic pixel art, a comfy soundtrack, fun & whimsical characters and a story that harkens back to the 16bit and early 32bit era of RPGs. Exploration could have been better designed (it's a good base, but there isn't enough to do), puzzles could have increased in difficulty and actual end game content would have been good starting points. Final Fantasy ATB-style gameplay was engaging but auto ruined it since automation can do DPS faster than most human beings lol. I genuinely hoped it would have gotten better at least on latter two but alas here we are. For a team of six people it's actually impressive, but as a gacha game, it was a slow burn til EoS (for global at least, no idea on CN). I feel that this game would have done better if it took an approach like Another Eden or straight up be a single player offline game
Actually kind of surprised with this one, not a lot of gacha games catch my eyes these days. the story isnt the best I've seen, it feels like it took inspirations from a few other titles, but not to say it's bad, far from it. Finally a game with a good chunk of voice acting. The combat is pretry interesting but you'd end up auto combating most of the time. The 100 free reroll they give after the intro is amazing. Rates are on the better end. Grindable evolve fragments and unique equipments are welcomed edition too. Its one of the free to play friendly games that is pretty fun imo
You know it's a banger when you see Yostar and SNK
pixel game with beautiful art and bgm, slow progressing game but the grinding thingy is very easy, every banner update give -50% gacha with maintenance compensation and daily login bonus ,not only that you can buy gacha item from shop and guild, yep very F2P friendly game...
but there still missing some features like guild raid (maybe next update? who knows)
and don't get me wrong, yes the grinding is very easy if you already completed the stage once, but.. the bosses are hard... like.. HARD.. if you stuck i recommend you to search some guide how to beat the bosses, bcs the bosses have unique mechanic,
oh almost forget, the game have classic rpg system like walking and solving some puzzles not just battles, the story so far i like it, o ya the current event (when i write this review) not the best, but event like Christmas is superb, so ya must wait and hopefully next event is good...
for me overall this game are hard but f2p friendly , if you F2P players like me, please give a try!
I first got this game recommended to me by my friend saying I should definitely try this out, and I must say, I do not regret playing this.
The main selling point of this game is, in my opinion, the music. The OST is really beautiful and really fits the cutscenes they're played in, making the scenes so much more captivating, although it's just pixel art. It also adds the fantasy-like atmosphere to the game.
The combat gameplay is decent, it's pretty basic and easy to understand. That's why it might be a little repetitive and boring for some people, but I, to my own surprise, quite enjoy it.
Outside of combat, you get to explore and find chests, which is one of my favorite aspects, I just love exploring and doing puzzles to get extra rewards. I also find it unique that technically, the stages are also like a second main lobby, and that you're actually staying in the world of the stages (the 'stages' are actually connected and are like another system like a tower or a world) when going into the next stage.
The bad part of the game would be the storyline...well, I can't really say it's bad, it's just not that good (imo). The story starts like any other RPG, during the stages the main story feels completely disintegrated and when there is some, it's as predictable as it can get, the villains have no personality, aren't given any reason to why they act like they do and we just kill them because they are villains. I might have exaggerated a little, but that's just how I felt reading the story. But well, nobody other than me reads the story of a game anyway lol
Personally, I don't care about gacha because I'm just a casual player, but I think others might. So I'll say something about that too:
The first thing worth noting is that the game has a built-in reroll mechanic. For the first time you roll, you get to reroll a maximum of 100-times for free. Within these 100 rolls, you can confirm a roll you think is good and get it as your 'first roll'. After you've confirmed, the 'first roll' is set, you ge the stuff and you have to invest to roll again, like other gacha. If the rates on the reroll-roll are the same as the normal gacha, then I gotta say it looks really painful wth.
Now there's probably still one question you want to ask: Is the game F2P-friendly?
Well...yesn't. To answer this question, I actually got myself to ONLY play with the characters that are guaranteed for every player/first ones you get and see how far I could go. I got stuck on a stage in chapter 2 (it wasn't even the boss battle), although my characters' levels far exceeded the recommended level. When I switched one of the characters to the UR character I got in the gacha however, the battle went like nothing happened. So, what we can conclude is that the game is a little meta-based, seeing how much of a difference a single character switch makes, but since there's the reroll mechanic, anyone should be able to have a good character.
Overall, I do think this game is enjoyable if you don't mind the gacha aspect (and the storyline but leths be honest, nobody cares). I hope you'll have a good time playing the game as well.
My invite code: 1de1f20c8. Use this to claim gifts when you join. I've been playing non-stop for hours so these are my thoughts on the game. 1 is bad, 3 is average, 5 is perfect, let's go!
Graphics: 4.5/5
The game is in pixel art style, very cute. I like how you can explore around the map, solve puzzles and defeat various enemies. Sometimes you do have to reposition yourself for the interact button to pop up but it's nothing too bad.
The backgrounds and map designs are top-notch and the characters' sprites are beautifully drawn as well. I'd said this graphic is very appealing.
Sound: 5/5
Beautiful soundtrack. The exploration music is relaxing and the fight music never fails to hype me up. It gave off a fantasy/medieval style, which fits perfectly with the theme of the game. I can barely wait to unlock the jukebox thing so I can play the boss music in the courtyard lol.
Gameplay: 3/5
The gameplay is pretty basic in my opinion. You form a party of three and fight enemies. There is an energy bar that slowly recharges and you need a certain amount of energy to use a skill. After each skill is used, you increase your special energy bar which can be used for Ultimate skill.
Story: 4/5
You play as a witch who loses her memory and is on her way to regain her power. It's a fantasy/medieval theme and sprinkles a bit of mystery in it. It's nothing outstanding but the flow is natural and the conversation between characters aren't forced. I'd said that's it's worth being invested in the storyline instead of skipping everything. They do have voice-over for almost all of the dialogues so that's a plus too.
Value: 4/5
The game is very F2P friendly. You, the witch, is a pretty good character and can get you through the story mode just fine. For the beginner gacha, you can reroll up to 100 times until you got the result you like. There are 4 URs you can get in the beginner gacha, I recommend either Tuonel or Afallen and any SSR you can get.
They do have a pity system, 80 pulls for UR and 160 for the rate-up UR. The pity will carry over the next banner of the same kind. I'd recommend this game to anyone looking for a cute pixel RPG with a rather merciful gacha.
