Can y'all just stop complaining over the protagonist and sexist thingy? This is an OTOME game for God's sake. It's obvious just by looking at it even before the game is released. Don't think of this as "yaoi" or whatever. We females are especially target audience of this game. Anyway, y'all should already know that this is an otome game since the description is written "An otome game with simple smth..... " and that the catboys refer to us as "kanojo" which means "her, she" in English. This isn't a BL. Hope you understand this. The game is just SUPERB. This has already become one of my fav otome games. I love the characters(catboys), graphics, sounds, voices and EVERYTHING. I love this game. Pls make more games like this in the future!

To anyone who is complaining about how this game (or any other games you might encounter) doesn't let you change the MC's gender: I don't know if I should say that you're overestimating or underestimating Japanese games 😂 With my experience playing both male and female oriented games, I come to this conclusion: "like it or not, a (Japanese) game is either male or female oriented, and usually it's for straight people". There are LGBT-friendly games too, but I'm talking about the majority of them. Even in games where you get to choose MC's gender, there might be some things that suggest which one is the target the developers aimed for, male or female?, e.g they release more bishoujo than ikemen, etc. Don't believe me or want to argue? You can just play more games and see for yourself then, this is only what I deduced. So, no offense, but if a game doesn't suit your taste, you can find others to play then, because complaining isn't get you anywhere, as it didn't get me anywhere either. (Side talk: I played one game in a male-oriented series that got an FeMC when it was remade, just to make it more interesting to players. Since then the FeMC have never been acknowledged as canon and the later games in the series never have any other female MC too. An example of how stubborn the developers could get regarding their chosen targeted audience.)

What is with these sudden influx of reviews complaining about it only having a female MC???? These are the facts: 1. THIS IS AN OTOME GAME. It is literally in the goddamn game description. You know what otome is? Wikipedia meaning: An otome game, is a story-based video game that is targeted towards women. Generally one of the goals, besides the main plot goal, is to develop a romantic relationship primarily between the female player character and one of several traditionally male characters. Wtf are y'all complaining for? 2. Do you complain of gal games having only a male MC? Do you go to other otome games (eg. Piofore, TxA, CxM etc) and complain of it only having a female MC? No. So wtf are you doing? 3. If you say I'm transphobic etc, please. I get that y'all experience discrimination but stop always playing the victim. This from the start was advertised as an otome, not once did it say otherwise. You are the ones coming here and finding trouble with it for no reason. And when people correct you, you play the victim and act as if they hate trans people when you're the one starting shit. I'm sure there are many other wonderful games with a they/them mc, so why dont you try those instead?

Please play BL games and sth up with gender talk. Also, do the same 1 star rating cuz of gender in Mystic Messenger too lol (nice tip to bring down the impression of a game to newbies), there should be unbiased ratings.

the game switches between translating 猫 as cats and catboys, although that doesn't bother me too much. i do think them (the characters) referring to [an action a cat might often do] would be more,,, fluid than [an action a catboy might often do] i guess? ? i really don't have the right word. also, this is without any spoilers ; the translation in a certain part of laurier's route... yeah,,, that. i didn't even read that. i am so glad i understand japanese so i could just listen to ishikawa kaito's voice without having to read whatever the translation team did because they certainly had a field day with that lol overall, it's a short and sweet(?) game. the fanservice is like... there? but also not really? and the mc doesn't speak / there are no dialogue choices. well, it is meant to be played like a drama cd so I'll let it slide. anyway, i just think catboys are neat.

Waaah! TAT I love all my neko boys, specially Dill. He's just so cute and I want him. Calico Cats are so cute, reminds me of Kenma. I wish there's just more story for them, I know they have their own routes but, I want more about them. I love all their interactions with the MC, also Laurier has the cutest image in his route, he's just so cute. Next to him is Dill, his art in his route is so cute, like pls I wanna hug him. 😭🤧💗 Fennel is like the best route you could ever hope for, and also Sage pls, he's treating the MC as a little sister or smth TAT (I know what's gonna happen if you have a full story route) Also, I saw from Wiki Fandom that this game was supposed to be an April's Fool joke, but because it was demanded, they made it real. Though, we can't expect to have more story than it already has. I still love the game regardless, 5/5 stars, just bc its cats, meow, ears, and somehow, butler vibes?... Also, here's their cat breeds (thanks wiki fandom): Laurier - Khao Manee Fennel - American Burmese Dill - Calico Cat Sage - Bengal Cat Here's the list of their voice actors and their roles: Laurier (Ishikawa Kaito) Other Notable Roles: Kageyama Tobio (Haikyuu) Marius Von Hagen (Tears of Themis) Genos (One Punch Man) Iida Tenya (My Hero Academia) Iwatani Naofumi (The Rising of The Shield Hero) Noe Archiviste (Vanitas no Carte) Milk Cookie (Cookie Run: Kingdom JP) Aoba Tsumugi (Ensemble Stars) Fennel (Wataru Komada) Other Notable Roles: Espresso Cookie (Cookie Run: Kingdom JP) Jade Leech (Twisted Wonderland) Kunugi Akiomi (Ensemble Stars) (I probably forgot other roles for him, I'm kinda sleepy making this 😔) Sage (Umehara Yūuchiro) Other Notable Roles: Alhaitam (Genshin Impact JP) Sniper Mask (High-Rise Invasion) Mars (Black Clover) Leona Kingschool (Twisted Wonderland) Hasumi Keito (Ensemble Stars) Lucas (I-Chu: Halfway Through the Idol) Dill (Enoki Junya) Othe Notable Roles: Itadori Yūji (Jujutsu Kaisen) Rengoku Senjuro (Demon Slayer) Li Chaoyang (I-Chu: Halfway Through the Idol) Komi Shūnsuke (Komi-san Can't Communicate) Seishuu Inui (Tokyo Revengers) Maita Rui (The idolM@STER SideM)

So, I really enjoyed the game, it doesn't have "choices" system, instead you enjoy a story that's already been decided, its cute and the story is fully voiced ! But, (there is always a but) the story is sadly short i didnt expect it to finish that fast i was surprised.. Maybe because nekopara's other stories were paid games and this one is for free so it's shortened (?) but hopefully this story can be an introduction for another game for the same characters. The characters are really good designed and their personality are cute !

I don't know why there's an uproar over the pronouns when this is an otome game, especially when as a nonbinary person myself I often have to sit through gal games where I'm misgendered as he/him. Either way, this is a basic otome game. There isn't much of value here in my opinion - it's just a dry-cut parody of the original Nekopara featuring male love interests instead. For that reason, I fail to see why the explicit "woman" or "she/her" pronouns are an issue for this specific title, because this is basically the same treatment you'd get if you played any other otome, but the only difference is this one is in English so you can read it better... Very short and besides the impressive VAs I don't like it too much. The art style is also very generic and ugly, and it made me feel kind of uncomfortable to play. Overall you should play if you're into this kind of stuff, and if the pronouns are a bother simply replace them yourself in your head as I do all the time or go play another game like Monster Prom that's inclusive and puts in all pronouns.
