I have played since launch, and have reached quite high ingame. If you played, you must have heard of my name. So I guess I can give a more through out review than someone who just try it for a couple of minutes.
This game is a town building, and the main difference with other similar games is that you don't have to defend your town vs other players. Your opponent mostly is the monster in open world and dungeons. So no town expanding. Instead, you can focus on development, build a team, and fight other players in siege war and the arena.
I won't say Im a f2p. but I don't spend much ingame beside battle pass and some cheap offer in prestige. No gem brought at all .Still I managed to be one of the top player ingame right now. With full 5 star teams. So yeah, not that p2w.
Game is hard and confusing at first cause there is next to none tutorial. However, once you get a hang of things, building a team and trying heroes combo in the arena and vs npc is quite fun. The battle log is hilarious, especially with chaos involved.
The dev is small, but they do listen and actively try to fix bugs and implement change to the game.
Overall, the game is a good time waster, and have potential.
Also, as at the latest update, we have a story mode.
And now, the dev has decided the honey moon is over, and turn the game into a money grab.
Game play — Lord of the other world is an anime based Rpg game. choose a path of level-up upgrades for your character, combine them into squads. Every turn you need to make difficult decisions to bring your squad to victory with minimal losses.
Combine heroes to create the best parties against different opponents. conquer the global map, taking province after province, dominating over the defeated nations.
The characters are well designed. I like the story of the game.
After a month of playing, here's my review.
Graphics are crap for a mobile game, Sounds are too generic, Gameplay is boring (All you do is a basically point and click), theres no story at all and lastly, it bombards you with all the money grabbing schemes it can possibly legally give (from limited time offers, monthly cards, "discount" packages to Battlepasses).
All in all, this game is garbage, its a another one of those typical chinese cash grabs. The only thing worth praising is the build system, but that too needs premium currency. so yeah, its a trash game.
Good time killer. Very heavy farming. If you wanna speed through the game then you're better off spending money. If you rush your city Hall too fast and not level your units then you'll be heavily restricted to just fighting the rebels next to your city. Make sure you're gradually raising everything together. Essentially, f2p is a slow, casual kinda playthrough. P2w is speeding through to get to arena, ruins and territory battles. I wouldn't really advise spending money on this game, enjoy the grind, take it slow.
Nerfed.
Developer basically say "you play the game more and pay more than expected, so i will remove rewards to make you pay more if you want to rush"
Then nerf almost all rewards that make f2p possible and even nerf equipment to reduce unit advantage.
Seeing players anger, they restore a very few rewards, then ask players to wait 1 week instead of providing a platform for feedback and response.
Management simulator with so many thing to do and learn. I got overwhelmed at 1st day and the resources is hard to get when you reach level 9.

so many lack of information make me confused but it is idle game so no need to rush everything
ah by the way,
I got forced close bug when I use the same boost ticket for my town twice when the other one not ran out yet.
